STRATEGIC PLAN DEVELOPMENT
In our professional opinion, strategic management is the adequate response to the increased volatility of our truly globalised economy. We at DCL define strategic management as the conduct of drafting, implementing and evaluating cross-functional decision making that will enable an organization to achieve its long-term objectives.
- Strategic Plan Development -
We at DCL have extensive experience in all these fields of strategic management. Strategic planning is one of the most popular management tools: a world-wide survey undertaken by BAINS Consulting, USA, in 2006 amongst more than 5,600 companies revealed that 80 % of the managers interviewed during the survey preferred strategic planning over other management tools (such as business reengineering, management by objectives, change management, etc.). And Zambia is no exception to this.
All government ministries are managed under strategic plans, all donor funded agencies (NGOs in particular) need to present strategic plans to justify the receipt of funds from cooperating partners, and the Zambian private sector shows increasing demand for strategic planning as well.
DCL has vast experience in moderating and drafting strategic plans. In the implementation of strategic plans, change interventions may be required to achieve goals.DCL is experienced in designing ‘form follows function’ organisational developments. Another particular strength in DCL is the designing and operating of monitoring systems.
Last not least, we at DCL have vast experience in the evaluation of performance under many types of strategic plans. In actual fact, our evaluations are so good that some of them have been published by our clients.
